Jianye Display × Christie "Kaifeng Prefecture · Southern Courtyard Moon Over the Ages": A Night of Light and Shadow, A Thousand-Year-Old Song Dynasty Moon Descends to Earth
Having cultivated the field of full-area display for decades, we provide professional full-area display system solutions combining LED and projection. We brought Christie laser projectors to Kaifeng, the ancient capital of eight dynasties, to create a giant screen of light and shadow for the "Kaifeng Prefecture: Southern Courtyard Under the Moon" nighttime cultural tourism project, bringing the thousand-year-old government office to life overnight and further contributing to Kaifeng's strategy of integrating culture, commerce, and tourism.
Kaifeng Prefecture's "The Moon Over the Southern Courtyard"
A night of light and shadow, the moon of a thousand-year-old Song Dynasty descends to earth
Kaifeng, the ancient capital of eight dynasties, the dream of the Northern Song Dynasty.
As night falls, this government office is no longer silent—

The "Kaifeng Prefecture: Southern Courtyard Moon Over the Thousand Autumns" night tour cultural tourism project uses 24 Christie laser projectors provided by Jianye Display to bring the moon from a thousand years ago back to the world through a night of light and shadow.

Every night at 7:30 PM, as the drums sound the third watch, a 3D countingdown begins on the city gate tower. The gauze curtain, the mountainside, the stone tablet, and the main hall work in unison, and then "Judge Bao" announces, "Ascend the court!"

The hashtag #KaifengPrefectureMoonlightMoonlightMoonlightMoonlightMoonlight# garnered over 12 million views in a single night.

The capital city of the world, wakes up one night
Kaifeng, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, was where Bao Zheng once held court. We transformed the main hall, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, into a 31×17m "living mural".

Six Christie laser projectors, each with 20,050 lumens, transformed the blue bricks and green tiles into a silver screen.

A nine-minute immersive nighttime tour of Bao Gong, who "travels through time" to hold court, with thousands kneeling to plead their case, allows history to speak for itself.
Even a stone can speak.
Jianye Display provided two Christie laser projectors with a brightness of 7150 lumens, which were spliced together on three sides, allowing the character "廉" (integrity) to "grow" out of the cracks in the stone stroke by stroke.

The left and right side halls are equipped with 16×3m full-height gauze screens and 10 Christie 5000-lumen rear projectors.

A Gathering of Elegance: Encountering Su Shi
Su Shi's moonlight falls on Mingjing Lake: The back garden of the government office was originally called "Mingjing Lake". We turned it into a 17-meter-wide water screen, using 6 Christie laser projectors provided by Jianye Display, and a 30×14-meter mountain as a scroll, so that the water light and moonlight are in sync.

Su Shi came wading through the water, raising his cup to ask the moon.

When the audience looks up, they see the moon from 900 years ago, which is also its reflection tonight.

#Why Choose Jianye Display
From preparation to completion, the technical team at Jianye Display overcame numerous difficulties and meticulously planned every stage of construction to ensure the smooth progress of the project.

From steel structure verification to laser calibration, the Jianye Display Technology team completed the 13*30m load-bearing calculation in just "one Northern Song Dynasty day and night"—15 days—and reduced the focus error of each Christie laser to within 0.5mm in 7 days.

The system allows for one-click on-site lighting, eliminating rework and waiting time, truly bringing the ancient government office into the digital world.
As the last laser beam faded, the moon disappeared, and the ancient government office returned to silence.
But the light of that night remains in everyone's photo albums, trending topics, and memories.

Special thanks to our partners at Jianye Display for their trust and support.
In the future, Jianye Display will continue to dedicate itself to providing professional full-domain display products and solutions for cultural tourism projects, allowing history to shine with new brilliance with the help of modern technology.
